Jim Raycroft
International photographer/photojournalist Jim Raycroft is never far from the sea. Operating out of studios in Boston and Fort Lauderdale, he has spent the last quarter century shooting yachts, cruise ships, resorts, travel destinations, exotic cars, food, models, and other glamorous subjects around the world. His photographs appear in national and international editorial features and advertising campaigns.
These assignments have taken him from East Timor to Antarctica, and he's worked on multi-part series documenting the global adventures of the motor yacht Golden Compass and the expedition yacht SuRi for ShowBoats International Magazine.
Jim put his interior photography skills to work at the Broadway Millennium and Sheraton Park Avenue hotels in Manhattan, RB Properties in Washington DC, various Nantucket properties, and the work of the renowned architectural firm, Tise Design Associates in Newton, MA.
Another hallmark of Jim’s work is his aerial and drone (UAS) photography and video, born from a personal passion for aviation. His clients appreciate this added value, which is artfully blended into his assignment work. His technical skills and problem-solving attitude make him popular with busy editors and art directors.
Jim has received awards from the Art Directors Clubs of New York and Boston, the American Advertising Federation, Boating Writers International, Boston Society of Architects and Art Direction Magazine. He is active with ASMP and has served as President of the New England Chapter.
When not traveling, Jim lives with a Mermaid aboard his 43-foot Albin Trawler.
